While technically not part of Starkeytown, the history of the Honeysuckle Hills wedding venue is closely tied to both of us Starkey sisters, and you’ll pass the romantic red wedding barn with horses and pretty flower gardens on your way to all three vacation rentals.
All rentals are within two to three miles from Honeysuckle Hills.
Our Mommy and Daddy met each other while walking to school from Starkeytown to Mill Creek Road. Daddy absolutely loved the farm near the schoolhouse and, in 1983, the recently widowed owner sold the farm to Daddy and we moved in. It was the perfect place to grow up and we were still close to Granny, Aunt Helen and Uncle Homer. Many life stories have transpired since those days, including converting Daddy’s cattle and tobacco farm into the wedding venue called Honeysuckle Hills after his passing in 2005.
Every year since then I’ve added a flower garden or hardscape feature that makes the venue a photographer’s playground.
Couples-only elopements are our favorite, but weddings with receptions for up to 50 guests are a great way to celebrate with your own family here in the Smoky Mountains! Together we will build lasting stories and memories, continuing the historic journey. I love to think of it as an on-going, ever-expanding family reunion celebration!
