It\u2019s only a short, 15 minute drive to town if you can pull yourself away from the tranquility that abounds. Perfect for small family vacations, honeymooners, a girls\u2019 gossip weekend or just to escape the demands of life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">You\u2019ll stay in a much more modern cabin than what was once there. Our mother grew up with nine siblings in the original structure that was merely a shack with no running water or indoor plumbing. Elaine and I still remember walking to the spring and hauling back pails of crystal-clear, ice-cold spring water that would be heated to wash dishes. I vividly remember my aunts leaning over tubs to wash their hair, too. None of them ever thought of themselves as poor, and to this day I feel as if they\u2019d go back to that simpler time in a heartbeat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Our great grandmother on our mother\u2019s side lived in a small cabin not far from The Wild Side rental.
